MHS Athletic Hall of Fame Inducts Michelle Dineen McElhaney

The Monroe High School Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1982 and to date has inducted 39 members with Michelle Dineen McElhaney from the Monroe High School class of 2000 being the most recent addition. Michelle Dineen McElhaney was inducted on Tuesday, December 27 during halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball game against Talawanda. 

Michelle was a 2 sport standout during her interscholastic career earning 8 Varsity Letters in the sports of Soccer and Basketball from 1996-2000.

On the Soccer field she was the Defensive Player of the Year and a 1st Team ALL MML selection all 4 years. Michelle was also named to the All Miami Valley Team during 3 of her 4 seasons.

On the Basketball court she was a 4 year starter for the Hornets Varsity squad and an All MML selection in 3 of her 4 seasons. Michelle also played on the 1999-2000 MML Championship team.

Michelle went on to play soccer at Ball State University where she earned 4 Varsity letters earning 2nd Team All Mid-American Conference honors during her Senior season as well as being named the Team MVP.
