Baseball Coach Bob Hunt to Receive Hall of Fame Honor

For the last 19 seasons Bob Hunt has held fort each spring in the dugout of the Monroe High School Baseball Diamond and it is no coincidence that during that time period the program has consistently been revered as one of the top programs in Southwest Ohio. During Coach Hunt's tenure, the Hornets have amassed a record of 325 wins and 161 Losses and in 2015, Bob Hunt earned is 300th career victory as well as career victory number 308 - which elevated him to first on the school's all time wins list. 

Coach Hunt has led the Hornets to 7 League Titles, 3 Sectional Titles, 2 District Championships and 2 Regional Tournament appearances. 

The 2007 and 2014 seasons were  memorable ones for Coach Hunt and the program as the Hornets captured the both a Sectional and District Championship title and finished as OHSAA Regional Tournament Runners-Up in those seasons. 

26 former members of the Monroe Baseball Program have gone onto continue their playing career at the collegiate level, which is the statistic Coach Hunt is most proud of.

On March 5, 2017 Bob Hunt will be inducted into the Miami Valley Baseball Coaches Association's Hall of Fame in a ceremony to be held at the Crowne Plaza Dayton Hotel.
