Ploeger Wins District Championship; Garver Qualifies for Regionals

After participating in one milestone in the morning hours of May 20 with their peers at 2017 Monroe High School Commencement Ceremony, Junior Rachel Ploeger (a Junior Attendent) and Senior Alayna Garver (2017 graduate) departed the Princeton Pike Church of God together on to what would be their second milestone of the day - qualifying for the OHSAA Regional Track and Field Meet.

With the Commencement Ceremony completed , Ploeger and Garver headed towards Dayton's Welcome Stadium for the 2017 District Track & Field Championships where they would compete in the 3200 Meter Run - and compete they did! With a time of 11:21.08 Rachel Ploeger paced the group and capturing the District Title. Shortly after, Alayna Garver crossed the finish line in 3rd place overall with a time of 11:43.89. 

Both Ploeger and Garver will join their teammate, Freshman Jenna Hensley at the OHSAA Regional Meet this coming weekend, May 24 and May 26 at Piqua High School.
