On April 15th, Monroe’s P.R.I.D.E. committee will be hosting a TDV assembly for grades 9th-12th to raise awareness for Teen Dating Violence. This committee has been working on this project since October when most of our Monroe students took a survey regarding TDV through Miami University. This committee has been studying the results, and brainstorming a plan to engage all administration, teachers, students, and parents. This assembly that is taking place will focus on promoting healthy relationships and decreasing engagement in TDV within students at Monroe Jr./Sr. High School. This assembly will use presentations, speakers, and small group activities to create awareness regarding behaviors at Monroe. We will be calling down all seniors, and juniors for the first part of the school day, and finishing the day off with the sophomores, and freshman. We HOPE that all our students come out of this assembly having more knowledge about Teen Dating Violence and knowing how, and where to seek help. Monroe’s P.R.I.D.E. Committee would like to thank everyone for their time and support throughout this 2014-15 school year.
