Hornets Fighting Cancer

Franklin’s Athletic Department, Football program, Cheer program and Schools in their district came together this week to raise money for two families in the Monroe School District.  With everyone working together, the Wildcats were able to raise over $1,600.00 dollars for those families along with creating some special gift bags.

The Franklin school district represented (left) by Tonya Simpson, Katie Kinser and Brian Bales and (right) by Kaitlyn Simpson and Abby Michael presented the results of their efforts to Monroe Jr/Sr High School Principal Dr. Brian Powderly during the Friday night football game on Oct. 16th. The donation was given to help the families during their battle with cancer. Both families will continue to be in the thoughts and prayers of the Franklin Community!

Special thanks to all of the students and community from Franklin for partnering to support our Hornets in this gesture that captures the heart of what it means to be communities supporting each other.
