Mission Statement

The staff and students of Monroe Junior High School strive to create productive citizens through a positive, child-centered learning community, which promotes respect, responsibility and life long learning.

The Educational Philosophy of Lemon-Monroe Junior-Senior High School

We believe it is the right and privilege of every individual to acquire an education that will provide that individual with the knowledge, wisdom, commitment and literacy necessary to enhance his or her opportunities for a fulfilling adult life and to serve the needs of society. Because the levels of literacy expected of Americans have risen greatly within the last decade, we believe the public high school should (1) offer curriculam broad enough to open opportunities to the student, (2) help toward training the student academically and vocationally to earn a livelihood, and (3) instill the philosophy, insight, and appreciation of the arts and self-control that will enable the individual to function wisely as a responsible and concerned member of a democratic society.
