 Monroe Elementary School is the educational focus in the city of Monroe and in Lemon Township. With a population of approximately 1150 students, Monroe Elementary continues to educate children in Kindergarten through grade six.Monroe Elementary staff, students and community are committed to the engagement of learners and increasing student achievement. District curriculum realignment and the creation of assurances based on specific learning objectives at each grade level were the catalyst for instructional content change. The PTO plays an important roll in the total educational programming at Monroe Elementary. Through various fund raisers, student programs, materials and incentives are purchased for the students. We value the participation and contributions of our parents and community to the total educational programming at Monroe Elementary. As the business partner of Monroe Elementary, the MacDonald Insurance Agency has provided financial support for the purchase of daily planners for all of our intermediate students to assist each child with personal organization.
