Anyone is welcome to attend. Please join us. The Monroe Elementary PTO funds projects that help the teachers and students of Monroe Elementary and Monroe Primary: Grade Level supplies donation Conference Dinners for Teachers Awards Ribbons for quarterly assemblies Playground equipment 6th Grade Scholarships Ways to support the Monroe Elementary PTO: Attend meeting Volunteer your time Make a donation Purchase Spiritwear, Market Day, Fundraiser, Holiday Shop Attend featured Skateway events Target Credit Card (specify Monroe Elementary PTO as your school of donation) Turn in BoxTops Popcorn Fridays Bookstore The PTO has many exciting activites planned for the 2007-08 school year. To sign up to be a part of these special opportunities, please attend a PTO meeting (first Thursday of each month) or e-mail PTO@monroelocalschools.com The Monroe Elementary PTO is excited to showcase our commemorative brick garden and the wonderful landscaping of trees in the front of the Elementary school wing and the trees planted along the front Junior High School wing. This beautification of the front of the building was the result of a grant. Last spring Mrs. Melissa Davis wrote a grant for the PTO offered by Lowes to schools for School Improvement and in May we were excited to find out that Monroe Elementary was awarded $5,000.00 for our garden and landscape project. That project was completed over the summer by Berns Nursery.
