ZACK HENSLEY TO BE INDUCTED TO MHS ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 22

The Monroe High School Athletic Hall of Fame was started in 1982 and including this year’s Inductees, now has 45 members. The plaques of all Hall of Fame members are proudly displayed on “Mainstreet” outside of the Varsity Gym at Monroe Jr./Sr. High School.

This past fall 3 new members of the Class of 2018 were inducted during the the August 31st home football game vs. Ross. Those new inductees were James Watts, Ben Ryan and Tyler Osterman.

Zack Hensley was unable to attend the induction ceremony this past fall and will be inducted at halftime of the Boys Varsity Basketball game on Saturday, December 22 as the Hornets host Talawanda. Game time is scheduled for 7:15pm.

 Zack Hensley 1997-2001

Zack Hensley was an outstanding 3 sport athlete in the sports of Wrestling, Cross Country, and Track.

In Wrestling he was MML Champion and Sectional Champion all 4 years. He was also District Champion is 1999. He was a State Qualifier 4 times, and he placed 6th at the State Championship Meet in 2001. He ended his wrestling career with 140 wins.

In Cross Country he was 1st Team All-MML and a Regional Qualifier all 4 years. Additionally, Zack was also the MML Champion in the 2 Mile for the Hornet Track Team.
