OASSA names Monroe’s Jon Creamer Zone 2 High School Assistant Principal of the Year
The Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators is pleased to announce the selection of the 2026 Middle School and High School Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Zone Winners.
The Zone 2 High School Assistant Principal of the Year is Jon Creamer, Assistant Principal of Monroe High School in Monroe, OH.
One of 10 zones statewide, Zone 2 is composed of eight Southwestern Ohio counties: Butler, Hamilton, Warren, Clermont, Clinton, Brown, Highland and Adams.
“Jon leads with a deep commitment to building relationships and doing what’s best for kids, and this recognition is a reflection of the tremendous impact he has on our students, staff and school community,” said Superintendent J. Robert Buskirk. “This honor is well deserved and we are incredibly proud to see his leadership recognized at the regional and state level.”
This spring, the OASSA Board of Directors received nominations from the field. These nominations were submitted by students, staff members, administrators and colleagues who work with these talented school leaders each day. The OASSA Board, under the leadership of the zone directors then selected middle and high school winners from each of Ohio’s 10 zones as their Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year.
Zone Principals and Assistant Principals of the Year are now finalists at the state level, and later this year, the OASSA Board of Directors will select the four overall winners from this pool of highly talented school leaders to represent the State of Ohio.
Please join us in congratulating Assistant Principal Creamer and all of our deserving award recipients!
State Winners will be announced in August and all Zone Winners will be recognized at the OASSA Fall Conference in October.
