Butler Tech
Butler Tech
Each year, sophomores at Monroe have the opportunity to attend the Career Day Field Trip at a Butler Tech campus of their choice. After the field trip, if a student is interested in attending Butler Tech, he/she will complete an online application (found on the Butler Tech website). In the spring semester, Butler Tech uses a lottery system to determine which students will be accepted to each program. Butler Tech will email students letting the student know if he/she is accepted into the Butler Tech program. The student then must communicate that they would like to join that program.
To learn more about the programs offered at Butler Tech for juniors and seniors please explore the Butler Tech website here: https://www.butlertech.org/high-school/programs/
Freshmen also have the opportunity to join Butler Tech for the 10th Grade Career Exploration Academy. The application process is the same and students are chosen through the lottery as well. This program is at D. Russell Lee and information is provided below.
The Butler Tech Natural Science Center is located on a former 72-acre fruit farm on Route 63 in Monroe. The farm-like setting, coupled with top-notch facilities, provides you the opportunity to work in a real-world setting with one of our horses in Equine Science, with one of 30 different animals in Veterinary Science, or with industrial equipment and natural resources in Landscape Design and Construction.
Within Performing Arts, students are asked to pick an area of focus in Dance, Music (Vocal or Instrumental) or Theatre. All programs are focused primarily on college preparation, and the class day is structured very much like a college program. Students are able to take college courses in nearly every subject area, and some college courses are taught on our campus.
The Butler Tech Bioscience Center is located in the heart of our region’s rapidly growing biomedical-related industry. We have strong business partnerships to allow our students to learn outside the classroom through real-world experiences.
The D. Russel Lee Building on Butler Tech’s Fairfield Township Campus offers high school students a diverse selection of career programs that range from computer-based technologies, business services, to in-demand skilled trades.
10th Grade Career Exploration Academy: Students enrolled in 10th Grade Career Exploration Academy receive personalized guidance to focus on the future they desire, providing opportunities and experiences for personal growth and career exploration.
