Pick-Up/Drop-Off Procedures
Morning Drop-Off Procedures
Elementary drop off times are 8:20 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the elementary activity doors (entrance A3).
You have two options when yentering campus via Hornet Drive:
-
Continue straight in front of the junior high/high school.
-
Turn left and pull into the elementary parking lot.

Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
In order for the car rider process to run smoothly, everyone has to do their part and adhere to pick-up times. Please be respectful and considerate as cars enter and exit the lot. Everyone has the same goal to pick up their child safely and get home as quickly as possible. We, as a staff, will do our best to ensure that your child is safe, while also trying to keep this process efficient for all involved.
Pick-up time will begin at 3:38 p.m. and is typically complete by 3:55 p.m. However, the first two weeks of school can take an extra 15 minutes. Please plan accordingly.
The time listed above indicates what time you should arrive on campus for pick up. It is not beneficial to arrive early, but if you do, please pull in the correct lanes that are indicated in the video attached. Please make sure to pull up to the car directly in front of you without leaving large gaps so we can accommodate as many cars as possible. We appreciate your help!
If you have your car rider tags from last year (2024-25) you can use them. If you need new, please email tlarison@monroelocalschools.com. Second grade will get new tags this year.
Do not block any entrances or exits with your vehicles or you may be asked to move. This could cause you to lose your place in line.
- Please use the Pikmykid app to check in once you are on campus. Have your car rider number displayed for our staff to view during dismissal. This will be especially important in inclement weather, as we will be calling into the building for those students to exit. Please remind your child of their number so they can know when they are called.
- Please pull all the way to the front of the pick-up area so we can load multiple cars at a time.
- Please utilize the overflow lanes in the parking lot to alleviate traffic on the hill.
- Please have your students enter the car from the sidewalk side if possible.
- Please do not get out of your car.
Please view the video below to learn the order that cars are dismissed during the after school pick-up line.

Pikmykid Tips
Here are some Pikmykid Tips on how to download the app, add a child, schedule pickup changes, and check in once you arrive on campus.
If you need a parent connection code, please email tlarison@monroelocalschools.com and she will send it to you.
Pikmykid utilizes one primary and one secondary code. The primary pick-up person needs to use the primary connection code and the secondary person needs to use the secondary code. You can’t use the codes more than one time. If the code is used with another person, the student will be removed from the primary pick-up account. If you have more than two people pick up, you will need to delegate them.
To delegate someone other than the two primary guardians to pick up your student:
- Select student name.
- Go to change pickup.
- Click on the date you want to delegate a pickup.
- The next screen will show the date and ask if you want to repeat. If you do want to repeat, click the dropdown menu and select. If not, click next.
- Select pick-up mode (which will be the default mode) - You must choose their normal pick-up location. That means if they are assigned B Wing pick-up, it will remain B Wing pick-up. If they are a default bus rider then you must choose Media Center pick-up when changing their pick-up mode.
- Under who will pick up, click change selection and pick the person you want to delegate from the contacts, then click confirm change.
- The delegate has been assigned.
